One man dead and another injured after Glasgow police alerted to ‘concern’ for pair
One man has died and another taken to hospital in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to the city’s Auchinloch Street at around 5.25 am on Friday following a report of “concern” for two men.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital for treatment, a Police Scotland spokesperson said.
They added “enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances” – and gave no further information.
A number of road closures have been put in place, including Springburn Road, Turner Road, Petershill Road and Laverockhall Street.
The force spokesperson added: “Drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
